Matthew 22:36-40 (NIV)
“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
All you need is love. All you need is love, love. Love is all you need.
Sound simplistic? Far from it. Idealistic? Maybe. But Jesus’ statement in the verses above is pretty profound. The two most important commandments, the place where our focus should be, revolve around love. Not love in the way many may define it, but loving God with our heart, soul, and mind. Through this love, He will enable us to love our neighbor as ourselves. Love God, Love People. Our vision can be summed up in those four little words. Four little words that can change the world if put into practice.
